A Perfect Easter Centerpiece

I really love this centerpiece idea.  So simple.  Place the flowers in a vase with water and then place in a larger vase.  Pour in the orange Jelly Bellies, slip in the Bunny Peeps and the entire arrangement (sans the flowers, of course) is edible afterwards.

More spring love

I don't think you can ever celebrate spring enough.  I made this banner for my Etsy shop this weekend.
I also found these other adorable banners for sale, too.

The colors of spring

For me, there's nothing more cheerful than the color of spring.  I love driving around and seeing the daffodils and crocuses pop.  I love going into almost any store (be it the grocery store or Home Depot) and seeing spring displays.  And I especially love making easter baskets and outfitting them as an expression of the season.  It's all about pastels in spring and nothing expresses it better than sweet treats.

We love them, we love them not, we love them

I need to start spring by paying homage to the humble daisy.  Under-rated and inexpensive, the daisy plays second fiddle to no flower.  Daisies to me are my happy flower.  While roses and peonies are elegant and feminine, the daisy doesn't take itself too seriously.  They live casually amongst the other flowers in any garden or vase and a handful placed in any vessel brightens up any room.  They're just as beautiful and cheerful as works on art on pastry.  Here are a few inspirations I found today.

Love them in this simple, label-free can

or in old vintage jars

while not technically a daisy, these white cosmos are rambling perfection

polka dot cupcakes with gum paste daisies...too precious to eat

happy daisy cookies...love yellow, white and aqua together

and last but certainly not least, a wedding cake that makes me want to say "I do" all over again.
